Influencer marketing council AiMCO is launching its inaugural Australian Influencer Marketing Council Awards this year.

The AiMCO Awards 2021, to be held on November 18, will recognise the best talent across Australia’s influencer marketing community. AdNews has joined as the dedicated industry media partner for the awards.

“The AiMCO Awards are designed to celebrate the rapidly growing rise of Influencer Marketing and the incredible work of agencies, brands, creators, influencer discovery platforms and the innovative technology and other businesses within the growing influencer marketing ecosystem,” AiMCO deputy chair Patrick Whitnall says.

“By offering dedicated influencer marketing awards for our industry, we know there will be some very creative and interesting work on display.”

Launch partner Hello Social will host an exclusive industry and AiMCO members awards launch event in Sydney this week to mark the “milestone” moment for the local influencer marketing space.

Submissions are open until September 3 for agencies, brands, influencer platforms, creators and others working in the influencer marketing space.

The 19 award categories include Best Use of Data, Most Effective Collaboration or Partnership, Best TikTok Partnership, Best Creator on Twitch, Best Large Agency/Business, Best Influencer Marketing or Technology Platform, and AiMCO Trailblazer of the Year. The pinnacle award, AiMCO Most Influential 2021 Award, will be judged from the 19 category winners and will be presented by Platinum Sponsor Twitch.

“These awards are the first of its kind to celebrate creators - who are at the heart of everything we do at Twitch,” Twitch AUNZ head of sales Ricky Chanana says.

“Our entire ethos is about revolutionising entertainment through our highly engaged community of creators and fans, and we are wholeheartedly supportive of continuing to grow and empower the entire creator community.”
