Ads on Wheels has brought swarm activations, using multiple vehicles to promote a brand, as part of an ambush marketing campaign to Queensland.
The Sunshine Coast Turf Club engaged Ads on Wheels for a three month campaign to promote the Caloundra Cup which is to be held on July 2.
The campaign activated a mobile out-of-home advertising solution utilising 40 local vehicles to promote the event from a range of locations including activity around Brisbane’s race tracks as well as Caloundra right up to Hasting Street in Noosa.
Sally Waghorn, managing director of Ads on Wheels said: “We are a young and dexterous business so we can act quickly to meet market trends and the take up of our swarm activations had been very popular.
"Over the past few months we’ve put 450 vehicles onto campaigns around Australia and we have the ability to book multiple vehicles anytime throughout a campaign in a fleet swarm activation which is ideal to promote events, product launches, conferences and openings.
“This type of marketing is in your face and unmissable and the ability to target specific locations gives us a strong competitive advantage which to date has not been available in Australia. It’s a tactic which is growing in popularity globally, in the USA companies like Carvertise are on track to grow ad sales to $20 million in the next year so we are on the cusp of a massive wave."
