Thomas Power, sales director for northern NSW at Australian Community Media (ACM), has been made redundant after 13 years with the company.
ACM has been contacted for comment.
Power joined the company in August 2010. He was named media sales manager for Wagga Wagga in 2014 before a year-long stint in the same role across south-east Queensland and Mount Isa.
At the start of 2018, his media sales remit was expanded to cover Queensland, the Northern Territory and the northern NSW regions, before he moved into the sales director role for northern NSW a year ago.
Power said that although the redundancy came as a surprise, he's choosing to focus on the many cherished memories and valuable experiences he gained during his tenure at ACM.
"Serving as the sales director at ACM has been an absolute privilege," he said on LinkedIn.
"I had the honour of leading talented teams, driving sales strategies, and contributing to the growth and success of this remarkable organisation.
"Together, we achieved remarkable milestones, fostered strong client relationships, and overcame challenges that shaped me both personally and professionally.
"I am immensely grateful to every person who has been a part of this journey with me. To my colleagues, sales teams, and leaders at ACM, I extend my heartfelt thanks for your unwavering support, collaboration, and belief in my abilities over the past 13 years."
Power said that as he embarks on a new chapter in his career, he's excited to explore fresh opportunities and leverage the skills and expertise he acquired as a sales director.
"With a proven track record in driving revenue growth, building high-performing teams, and delivering exceptional customer experiences, I am confident in my ability to make a significant impact wherever I go," Power said on LinkedIn.
"Change may be inevitable, but so is the potential for growth and new beginnings. I am excited about the possibilities that lie ahead and look forward to embarking on this journey with optimism, resilience, and a strong sense of purpose."
