I need to correct an error in Chris Pash's piece. When Adele Ferguson stepped down from the board, the Copyright Agency sent a notice to all members inviting applications for the vacant board position. That was how I heard about it. I applied, along with other interested members, was interviewed by a selection committee and appointed. It was an open process. I did not \"walk into the role via a vote of the board of directors\". Yes, I am a longstanding member of MEAA. So what? As Pash says, the union is not endorsing any candidate in this election. I bring to the board experience as a journalist, author and academic.
