Ovarian Cancer Australia urges people to rally for Australia’s most deadly female cancer in its latest campaign.
Ovarian Cancer Australia has launched its first piece of work via agency 10 Feet Tall.
The campaign puts the deadly reality of ovarian cancer centre stage, highlighting the alarming statistics of Australia’s most deadly female cancer.
Animated infographics shape shift as the ad progresses, from tongue-in-cheek mentions of “lower lady bits” to serious consideration of the often forgotten and widely underfunded ovarian cancer.
The punchy slogan, It’s time for ovary-action, aims to rally Australians to take action for the cause.
“We have watched so many other cancers make incredible progress, now it’s time for teal. It’s time to support women living with ovarian cancer, it’s time to put an end to Australia’s deadliest female cancer. It’s time for ovary-action,” Ovarian Cancer Australia director of marketing and communications Josy Shaw says.
Ovarian cancer kills three Australia women per day while the five year survival rate of 45% has moved only fractionally over 30 years.
This new campaign platform is the beginning of a number of initiatives that will roll out over the next 12 months in the hope of raising both the profile of the disease.
“We’re hoping every piece of work moving forward can have the desired impact, and that we can help eradicate this shockingly unforgiving disease,” 10 Feet Tall creative director Tina Funder says.
The campaign video was brought to life by production house Cadré Pictures, sound studio Production Alley, actress Sybilla Budd and musician Dave Higgins all who donated their time.
