With Victoria on the path to a Treaty, Clems Melbourne has launched a website where non-Aboriginal Australians can ask the Aboriginal community about things they've always wanted to know.
The first-ever Treaty legislation in Australia is being launched by the Victorian Government and Clemenger Melbourne is right there for this historic moment, launching the 'Deadly Questions' campaign.
As Victoria embarks on a path to Treaty, research shows that Victorians don't know much about Aboriginal culture, heritage or current affairs and are uncomfortable in asking for fear of offending or appearing ignorant.
To bridge this gap in knowledge and communication, the Deadly Questions website has been launched and provides a much needed platform where non-Aboriginal Victorians can ask the Aboriginal community questions about things they've always wanted to know about.
People can ask questions through the campaign website anonymously if they wish, with responses recorded in text or video.
Clemenger BBDO Melbourne has been able to secure well-known Aboriginal people to help with the launch, and outdoor, social and digital advertising features starter questions to get the public thinking about what they might like to ask.
'Deadly Questions' launched on 3 June 2018 across TV, OOH, the website (https://deadlyquestions.vic.gov.au) and social.
