AGL Energy announces a partnership with Midsumma Festival to help shine the light on Victoria’s diverse gender and sexuality (DGS) communities.
In a clip released on the AGL Energy Facebook, festival goers groove out on to the DJ’s mix with a pulsating heart displayed on the screen saying, “Powered by love”.
“We recently reviewed our policies for LGBTI employees and implemented a LGBTI inclusion strategy. The opportunity to partner with Midsumma reinforces our commitment to creating an inclusive and open workplace and supporting the LGBTI community,” AGL managing director and CEO Andy Vesey, says.
Midsumma board chair Aaron Hockly said the partnership with AGL will help to make the 29th Midsumma Festival bigger than ever.
Midsumma is Melbourne’s annual queer arts and culture festival and one of the world’s top five LGBTI festivals. Running over three weeks, Midsumma celebrates diverse gender and sexuality through a range of arts, culture and community events.
