APN Outdoor client marketing director Wendy Gower will leave the business next month after just one year to become general manager of media agency M2M in Sydney.

Gower joined APN Outdoor in August last year after a stint as managing director of UM Melbourne. Her departure from the agency saw former general manager David Angell promoted to MD.

She has now been appointed general manager of Omnicom-owned media agency M2M in Sydney. She will replace former general manager Sydney, Ben Sjogren.

Gower will leave APN on 6 September 2013 and start her new role on 9 September.

Chief executive officer of APN Outdoor, Richard Herring, said: “Wendy has made great in-roads into informing and educating advertisers about Outdoor advertising, not just for APN Outdoor, but for the benefit of the industry. On behalf of the organisation I extend our sincere thanks and good wishes to Wendy for the future.”
