Would you stick part of your body into a mystery hole? Of course you would. We all would. It's the first year the annual create-your-own ad competition has been opened up to global entries, and this ad by Aussie Tom Noakes of Sydney-based Photoplay Films has already gone viral.

It's called 'Finger Cleaner', and it does what it says on the tin. It's disgustingly brilliant. The video was uploaded on 24 November and has racked up nearly half a million views, and is currently the third highest-rated entry on the Doritos competition microsite.

The annual Doritos 'Crash the Super Bowl' competition has been running since 2006. It invites consumers to create their own ad for the Frito-Lay brand, with the winner getting their commercial aired during the Super Bowl, a $1 million prize, and the opportunity to team up with Marvel on the set of The Avengers sequel.

The crowd-sourcing competition was originally the brainchild of Frito-Lay's creative agency Goodby Silverstein & Partners and promotional agency The Marketing Arm. The global call for entries video, 'The Crash Ambassador', was created by GS&P's Aussie expat creative team of Tim Green and Nick Morrissey.
