The Hallway hires storyteller Starkey to create long-form content

The Hallway has appointed screen producer Carolyn Starkey as senior content producer as it looks to create more long-form content.

Starkey ran production company Verve Films for 11 years before leaving to freelance as a producer on branded content projects, including 'Kiwi Sceptics' for Air New Zealand.

Simon Lee, executive creative director and creative partner at The Hallway, said: “Carolyn’s appointment is indicative of the direction in which our work is naturally taking us. Telling powerful stories and using them in powerful ways means constantly exploring new production and funding models.

“With her experience running a production company as well as producing for agencies, Carolyn is ideally placed to help us and our clients take full advantage of the exciting opportunities that today’s rapidly evolving marketing and entertainment landscapes afford."

Starkey added: “I wasn’t really looking to join an agency, but after meeting Simon, who wrote, directed and produced his own feature documentary, Dream Racer, and the rest of the team, I felt incredibly excited about the opportunity.”
