The Melbourne Advertising and Design Club's 2012 awards will be chaired by Rowan Dean while category chairs include Jay Furby, Tom Martin and Kieran Ots.

Dean, formerly executive creative director of Euro RSCG, will led the eight judging panels for the awards. He is currently a columnist for The Australian Financial Review and a creative director.

JayGrey's Jay Furby will chair the Radio jury while Clemenger BBDO creative director Tom Martin will oversee the Integrated, Breathrough and DM panel. Leo Burnett Sydney's Kieran Ots will lead the Digital jury.

Other jury chairs are BWM's Shaun Branagan (Film and Media), Clemenger BBDO Melbourne's Sonia von Bibra (Film Craft), Clemenger BBDO Sydney's Luke Chess (Print, Poster, Outdoor and Ambient), US Sydney's Christy Peacock (Print Craft) and Truly Deeply's David Ansett (Design).

MADC president Nigel Dawson said: “We've got some of the industry's top creative people on board and we're asking them to make sure the work from Melbourne is judged on part with the best in the world.

“All of the judges are generously taking time out from their busy days to be of service, with many flying interstate to help bring fresh eyes to the work.”

The finalists will be announced on 20 September while the awards will be held on 4 October.
