The Melbourne Advertising and Design Club's 2012 awards will be
chaired by Rowan Dean while category chairs include Jay Furby, Tom
Martin and Kieran Ots.
Dean, formerly executive creative director of Euro RSCG, will led
the eight judging panels for the awards. He is currently a columnist
for The Australian Financial Review and a creative director.
JayGrey's Jay Furby will chair the Radio jury while Clemenger BBDO
creative director Tom Martin will oversee the Integrated,
Breathrough and DM panel. Leo Burnett Sydney's Kieran Ots will lead
the Digital jury.
Other jury chairs are BWM's Shaun Branagan (Film and Media),
Clemenger BBDO Melbourne's Sonia von Bibra (Film Craft), Clemenger
BBDO Sydney's Luke Chess (Print, Poster, Outdoor and Ambient), US
Sydney's Christy Peacock (Print Craft) and Truly Deeply's David
Ansett (Design).
MADC president Nigel Dawson said: “We've got some of the industry's
top creative people on board and we're asking them to make sure the
work from Melbourne is judged on part with the best in the world.
“All of the judges are generously taking time out from their busy
days to be of service, with many flying interstate to help bring
fresh eyes to the work.”
The finalists will be announced on 20 September while the awards
will be held on 4 October.
