PHD general manager Martin Hadley has resigned after eight years with the firm.

Hadley helped launch the Australian unit after joining PHD in 2005 from Mindshare Japan. He has decided to take a break before deciding his next move. It is understood that he will not immediately be replaced.

“Martin has been with PHD since the beginning. We absolutely respect his decision to move on. He has made a great contribution and we thank him for it. He leaves with our blessing and we wish him every success for the future” said CEO Mark Coad.

Hadley said he had enjoyed his time at PHD "immensely" and would look back with pride at "being part of the leadership team that has more than tripled the size of the business without sacrificing quality and innovation".

"PHD, under Mark Coad’s leadership, has an incredibly bright future and will continue to make waves right across the industry," he said. "I’ll take some time and consider some options for the future, and wish PHD and the Omnicom Media Group the very best for the future."
