Nunn buys out Kruse Media

Media agency Nunn Media has bought Kruse Media Services for an undisclosed sum. It claimed the acquisition ensured it was the country's largest independent media agency with billings of more than $130 million.

In a statement, Nunn said the Kruse business takes a cohesive approach to each of its client campaigns – something Nunn believes the two have in common.

As part of the deal, Nunn has also added the Spotlight Retail Group account to its roster, which includes the Spotlight and Anaconda brands and is said to be worth in excess of $40 million.

Nunn's existing roster includes clients in the lifestyle, banking, finance and retail sectors.

Founder Matt Nunn said he hopes the Kruse deal, set to be finalised this week, will signal a continued period of growth for the agency along with Australian expansion. He flagged Sydney as the next frontier. “Sydney has to be on the radar for any Melbourne-based agency. We now have the size and revenue growth that would see an investment there as our next natural option," he said.
