NRMA Group, which includes NRMA Motoring & Services and Thrifty Car Rental, has appointed The Works to handle its creative account. The account was previously handled by BMF.

Independent creative agency The Works won the business in a pitch against four other agencies. It will take on creative strategy and advertising across the group.

NRMA Group, separate to NRMA Insurance, also encompasses NRMA Travel & Leisure, MotorServe, NRMA Safer Driving Schools, NRMA Holiday Parks and NRMA More4Members.

NRMA Group head of marketing and digital Jason Stidworthy said: “The Works showed a deep understanding of our business needs and its breadth of experience across a range of categories were the right fit for us as we streamline our agency partnerships.”

The Works creative partner and director Douglas Nicol said: “To be entrusted with an iconic Australian brand such as the NRMA is a great opportunity for The Works and is another demonstration of a business selecting us based on our record in delivering effective work for clients.”
