Naked Communications has won the Red Rooster creative account following a competitive pitch. The business had previously been handled by 303Lowe and the account move coincides with a relocation of Red Rooster's marketing department from Perth to Sydney.
The win, which also included PR duties, sees Naked add more runs to the board following its reinvention as a creative-led agency. Last month it also picked up SBS and Pac Brands-owned Tontine Group accounts. Those wins followed Hallmark in February and Kinetic Super in December.
Anna Jones, National Marketing Manager at Red Rooster said: “We are very excited to bring Naked on board as our creative partner. Their energy and love for what they do is contagious and we knew they would be a perfect fit with our brand direction both current and future. Their fresh perspective, ability to think outside the box and push us past the boundaries of what we have done is critical to allowing the Red Rooster brand to evolve and grow.”
Carl Ratcliff, CEO of Naked Australia said: “This is an extraordinary win for Naked. Red Rooster is an iconic Australian brand and possesses a special place in Australian hearts. We are delighted to have been asked to provide full service capability. We cannot wait to get our teeth into this wonderful bird.”
Ratcliff came in to spearhead Naked's change of direction after a rollercoaster year which saw the exit of its high profile Australian founders – Mike Wilson and Adam Ferrier. Over the years the two, plus fellow Naked originals, had made the agency a huge success via a hybrid strategic approach to communications. However, Naked's repositioning as a creative shop makes sense, because the hybrid strategy model became the norm.
