My Kitchen Rules was back on air in all five metro areas last night – and back on top of The Block.

The cookery contest on Seven was the night's most watched, with 1.651 million fans tuning in, according to preliminary overnight ratings from OzTam.

Nine's '60s drama Love Child has been gradually slipping down the live viewing charts, dropping from 1.354 million in its first outing to 1.065 million last night. But it led the time-shifted viewing, with an audience of 1.410 million.

MKR paved the way for Seven to win the night overall, with 34.2% of the free-to-air audience share. Nine was next with 30.1%, followed by the ABC with 18.6% and Ten with 13.5%.

Nine's The Block: Fans versus Faves was the second most-watched show, with an audience of 1.255 million.

Home and Away was the only other non-news program in the top 10, in eighth spot with 1.005 million viewers.

Seven's Revenge was just shy of the top 10, in 11th spot with an audience of 768,000.

The usual suspects completed the top 10 – Seven News (third, with an audience of 1.197 million), Nine News (1.167 million), Seven's Today Tonight (1.131 million), Nine News at 6.30 (1.071 million), Nine's A Current Affair (970,000) and ABC News (842,000).
