Fairfax Media director of trade marketing and insights Liz Ross has stepped down from her role, as the restructure within the recently formed Metro Media division continues.

Ross will leave her role on 19 August. Metro Media commercial director Ed Harrison, who was appointed last month, is currently searching for a trade marketing director for the Metro Media division.

It is unclear what Ross' next career move will be.

Harrison said: Since joining Fairfax in 2005, Liz has achieved a great deal for the company and has delivered numerous projects with a high level of professionalism.

"Liz was responsible for establishing a vertical marketing approach to supporting revenue generation, developed comprehensive trade brand positioning and led the redesign of the Adcentre."

The departure of Ross is the latest in a far-reaching review of senior and middle management in the Metro Media division, which was revealed exclusively by AdNews in March. The review is being overseen by Metro Media chief executive Jack Matthews.

The Metro Media division was unveiled toward the end of 2010 by Brian McCarthy, who was then chief executive of Fairfax Media.

Restructures have also happened within the Financial Review Group's commercial sales division, while it has been speculated this division is set to merge with the Metro Media division.
