Nicole Turley has moved from Ikon to Starcom.

Starcom has appointed Ikon's national trading director, Nicole Turley, to the newly created position of national investment director.

Turley has 16 years experience in the media industry and has joined the agency having previously held senior positions at the Seven and Ten networks.

Starcom MediaVest Group chief operating officer Chris Nolan said: “Nicole comes to Starcom with impressive credentials, having established a track record of challenging the market status quo to drive value for her clients and agency, and has built solid respect across the media.

"Investment continues to be a core part of our service offering, and off the back of a very solid year, it's the ideal time for us to appoint a dedicated national investment leader.”

The appointment has followed Starcom's 13 new business wins in 2012 and $170 million of new billings, including the Optus, Virgin and Mars/Wrigleys accounts.

Turley said: “I’m very excited to be joining one of the great Australian media agencies and am looking forward to working with what is an extremely talented group of people.”

Turley's former position at Ikon has not yet been filled. She will take up her new role on 4 March next year.
