Coca-Cola Australia is gearing up for a wide-reaching national Olympics push, bringing Aussie BMX rider Sam Willoughby on as brand ambassador amid a range of marketing activities.
The local initiative will form part of Coca-Cola's ambitious global push, which involves the brand's Olympics anthem 'Anywhere in the World'.
The anthem, which saw Grammy award winning producer Mark Ronson partner with Coca-Cola to fuse the sounds of sports with London musical sounds, will be available in Australia to consumers on15 May.
Marketing will also involve a range of above- and below-the-line activity, with Willoughby acting as brand ambassador.
Earlier in the month, Coca-Cola released a documentary featuring the making of the anthem, as well as the stories of young London hopefuls, including Willougby.
Willoughby said: “I’ve always been a big believer that if you want to be the best, you need to surround yourself with the best. Having the support of Coca-Cola, undeniably one of the world’s most successful and best known companies, is only going to better my chances of winning gold. They’re helping me achieve my dreams.”
